Townsend Planning Board Endorses 53 West Meadow Road Split in Unanimous Vote

Planning Board · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Townsend Planning Board unanimously endorsed a two-lot division at 53 West Meadow Road at its March 9 meeting. Chair Andrew Shepherd opened the session at 6:32 p.m. with a three-member quorum. Jonathan Bolton of Stamsky and McNary appeared on behalf of the applicant, telling the board the proposed lots "have the frontage required and the area required" under the Subdivision Control Law and are entitled to endorsement as approval not required.

Vice-Chair Carol Hoffses moved approval; the board voted 3-0 and signed both the Mylar and paper copies before adjourning. A separate certificate-of-completion request for the Campbell Farms development was postponed for lack of supporting information, and Shepherd noted a Starbucks project at 18 Main Street is expected to seek a certificate of completion at a future meeting.
