Townsend Conservation Commission issued orders of conditions for a septic replacement at 1 Balson Drive and a three-lot Seaver Road subdivision road at its March 11 meeting, while continuing two other hearings and issuing a negative three determination for a Brookline Street septic. Engineer Wayne Bellick of Land Design Collaborative presented a comprehensive stormwater plan for the 13.02-acre Zero Seaver Road parcel on behalf of applicant John Mellow Jr. of Belvedere Capital, noting that only about 24,000 square feet of the roughly 200,000 square feet within the commission's jurisdiction would be disturbed and none within the 35-foot no-disturb zone. Conservation Agent Colby Streeter reported a $7,500 grant application to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers Stewardship Council for invasive species control on the Squannacook River and said the recently completed Meeting House Park timber sale returned just $4.95.90 to the commission's account after the stand proved far more deteriorated than anticipated.

The hearing for Lot 5B at 198 North End Road was continued to March 25 pending plan revisions, including a graphically located stockpile area and a limit-of-mowing delineation.
