Board Grants 60-Day Extension for Atwood Acres Window
Townsend's Board of Health gave Atwood Acres 60 days to fix a stuck window after months of noncompliance.
Board of Health · Meeting of October 13, 2026
Townsend's Board of Health gave Atwood Acres 60 days to fix a stuck window after months of noncompliance. The board, with Dr. Christian Roman-Ramirez, Paul Serene and Todd Arsenault voting, set a December 13 deadline for RCAP Solutions, which manages the Dudley Road property, after Nashoba Sanitarian Rick Metcalf said the window had worsened since a June violation notice.
Vendor Jose Reyes said replacement parts need six to eight weeks. The board separately approved a variance letting a Depot Street Extension condo finish a windowless basement using 10,500 lumens of artificial light and mechanical ventilation instead of natural light, calling it "an equivalent level of protection." Members also approved $79,693.73 in invoices, two septic actions on Lunenburg and Shirley roads, and new pay-as-you-throw bag signage, and set a November 9 public forum on trash program revenue.
