Townsend Town Hall Friday Closures Continue Through August

Town Hall remains closed on Fridays through the end of August, according to a notice on the town's official website. The closure schedule affects all municipal offices at 272 Main Street, and residents needing in-person service are advised to plan visits for Monday through Thursday.
The town also continues to remind residents of the community electric aggregation program sweep that took place earlier this month, part of ongoing efforts by the Select Board's office to manage the town's group electricity purchasing. Separately, the town's curbside trash and recycling registration renewal window closed earlier in July, with residents who signed up in time locked into the 2026-2027 program.
