Townsend Tax Bills Due Monday, August 3

TOWNSEND — Townsend property owners have a hard deadline this week, with the town's next real estate tax payment due Monday, August 3, according to a notice from the town.

TOWN HALL

The Treasurer/Tax Collector's office is reminding residents that the next real estate tax due date falls on Monday, August 3, giving property owners only a few days to get payments in before penalties apply. Residents can pay online, by mail, or in person at Town Hall, though those planning an in-person visit should note that Town Hall remains closed on Fridays through the end of August, a policy the town put in place earlier this summer.

Townsend's water department also continues its community electric aggregation program, with the town noting an aggregation sweep that took place earlier this month; residents with questions about enrollment or rates can reach out through the Water Department page on the town website.
