Townsend Records 20 Home Sales From $172,500 to $810,000 in July-August
TOWNSEND -- Twenty properties recorded deed transfers in Townsend from July 24 to Aug. 22, but only 13 disclosed a sale price. Prices ranged from $172,500 for a condominium unit at 5 Turnpike Rd. to $810,000 for a single-family home at 98 North End Rd., the month's top sale. The median price among disclosed sales was $538,000. Main Street saw three recorded sales, and North End Road had two. Seven transfers, more than a third of the total, listed no price and involved family members or trusts sharing a surname, a pattern consistent with estate or intra-family transfers rather than open-market sales.
