Townsend electric aggregation rate sweep set for July 13

TOWNSEND — The town's community electric aggregation program is due for its next automatic rate sweep on Monday, July 13, according to a Town Hall announcement, a routine review that resets supplier pricing for enrolled residents without requiring any action on their part.

TOWN HALL Town Hall said the July 13 sweep will apply to residents currently enrolled in Townsend's electric aggregation program, the town-negotiated alternative to Eversource's basic supply rate. Residents who want to check or change their enrollment status can do so through the town's aggregation information posted on townsendma.gov; no signup or paperwork is required to remain in the program through the sweep.

Separately, the Town Clerk's office continues to make nomination papers available for a slate of three fall elections — Sept. 1, Oct. 6 and Nov. 3 — that the town confirmed earlier this month. Residents interested in running for local office should contact the Town Clerk for filing requirements and deadlines.
