TOWNSEND — North Middlesex School Committee voted 6-0 to adopt revisions to roughly 30 district policies after a bullying-law briefing from district attorney Michael Joyce. Chair Lisa Martin presided; the committee also approved 12 new policies for first reading and held back four, including one on school powers and duties pending an opinion from attorney Dominello. Business Manager Dr.
Komir said an August 8 email to counsel on the Ashby solar panels remained unanswered, and Superintendent Brad Morgan reported the district "does not appear" to legally own the Townsend playground. Payroll warrants passed 5-0 with Christopher Sloan abstaining. Resident Randy Rush told the committee its bulk policy reviews violate its own policy BGC, asking, "Can you honestly tell yourself that you were reading 30 policies in preparation of the meeting?"
